Medicare Physical therapy billing. Does a physician need any extra credentialing from MC?

Physical therapy tenant is leaving and starting to do this myself. Currently have a new PT lined up to do evals and PTA doing the treatments under me….im PMR/pain. Do I need any extra credentialing for Medicare?

No. Have been billing for US and traction modalities for over 20 years now.

No, but if they are billing under you, at the very least you have to be in the same building. If you are on vacation and they are billing under your number that is Medicare fraud and will definitely fail an audit/potentially lead to jail time and huge fines

Does PMR have extra “benefits” when it comes to POC and/or treatment? Medicare or commercial insurance.
