If you could only have enough time to read either Casefiles or Pretest which would you choose and why..what is more high yield for the medicine shelf? Thanks!

I didn't use Casefiles, but scored in the top 10% last month with MKSAP, Pretest, and used the textbook "Medicine" for background reading during the rotation (it's by Fishman). The book isn't necessarily required, but it helped me on rounds to look smart and I enjoy having a textbook to back my question books.

All that being said, MKSAP + Pretest can get you an excellent score. I went through MKSAP twice, once at the beginning of the rotation and once at the end. I took notes on the questions that I missed and studied those things thoroughly in the evenings. Hope that helps!
