I'm new to IT and am currently working on a project to standardize the nomenclature in Meditech. Currently in the generic name field, our vitamins are labelled as such:
vitamin C
vitamin, multi

Since the MAR is sorted by generic name, the vitamins sort together. However, the goal is to change the generic names to this:
ascorbic acid
multiple vitamin

Is there any way to get the vitamins to sort together on the MAR?

We use Meditech at the hospital that I intern for, and we have ascorbic acid listed as such and Thera-V... not sure on the specifics though sorry. Wish I could be of more help.
