Did anyone here use Medscape as a reference tool while doing Step 1 questions? If so, what did you find was most useful from that web site?

Not useful for Step 1, unless it's become what Step 2 was three years ago.

But it'll be great on clinical rotations and beyond. IMO better than UTD.

I use medscape all the time as an attending (and used it in residency) but I can't imagine it being helpful for step 1

not useful for step 1 unless you just want some extra clinical context. It is too shallow in regards to pathophy. Helpful on the wards tho.

This is how Medscape affected my Step I studying (many moons ago...)

1. Google to find out something
2. click on medscape sometimes because it seemed like it had the answer
3. After 30s of perusing found out it was trash and used uptodate or wikipedia for quick-to-the-point answer
