Just wondering what an Anesthesiologist's thoughts are on this survey from a month ago. Are there even attendings on sdn that practice in these great plains and midwest states such as Montana, the Dakotas, and Wyoming? Some of these states don't even have a dedicated medical school so I am just wondering how do new attendings even land a job in rural areas of these states without a residency or fellowship opportunity there? Do you agree or disagree with the survey as an Anesthesiologist? Thanks

Just apply and get interviewed. a lot of it is also thru networking.
There'll always be people for and against those places. Usually the worst place to practice are areas with high litigations/payouts, high cost of living, long hours, etc
