My mentor invited me to a small subspecialty conference. Several people I met said they would look out for my application this residency season; others said they'd write to PDs about me and look forward to seeing me at interviews at their institution.

I'm lost as to how to follow up. Should I send brief emails to these individuals stating my interest in their program and thanking them for our conversation? Should I include a CV?

I know how busy these people are and I don't want to come off as aggressive. On the other hand, wouldn't an attending writing to a PD wish to know about my background? Wouldn't a CV help said person? I'm doing my best to figure out the polite way to do things!

Definitely a quick email note of thanks is fine . For those contacting others on your behalf, a cv is also appropriate. Honestly, when I get back from a conference I remember maybe half of what I told people I would do for them, so a reminder is appreciated if I said I would something .
