Besides trying to not throw up from nervousness, what else can I add to this list?

- Get to the campus EARLY...like hours early. Sit in my car til a reasonable time to go inside.
- Make sure I'm acquainted with the school, and the program. Leave room to ask questions...
- Make sure I'm up to date with some current events, just for the sake of small talk
- Bring copy of unofficial transcript/resume/etc.

Anything else I could do?

Ask him/her what his/her Lizzy M score was. (kidding)

SMILE! 🙂

-don't show up on an empty stomach
-arrive early, but not hours early (unless you wanted to explore campus). But if you sit in your car for hours you will freak yourself out.
-be yourself, don't try too hard to impress
-have some background info on the school and perhaps a few questions prepared
-relax

Neurotic OP is neurotic.

"Make sure I'm up to date with some current events, just for the sake of small talk"
…is this really necessary? Are you incapable of making small talk out of nothing (e.g., the weather, your commute, some random story, pop culture, etc. etc. etc.) and just making your way through a normal conversation as you would with a friend? If so, that's a problem; not just for admissions, but just for being a human being in general. "Small talk" is not supposed to be structured, and if you try so hard, it will become awkward that you're trying to force something.

Case in point: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/thr...o-get-a-good-gpa.1057038/page-3#post-15117082

Have a beer, man.

(I'm sorry if that sounds critical. But please do not do something SO SPECIFIC so you can have a topic for small talk. That is the complete opposite of what small talk is supposed to be. Interact naturally with the damn guy. S/he's human, and I bet s/he likes to talk about random stuff, too.)
