I just receive an interview invite to meharry. Could someone give me some insight about the school. The interview (one on one or by committee). Your info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

that is great, I am a freshman at MMC and it is one of the best schools that I have seen, we are like a family here, all the interviews are laid back and simple, make sure be yourself and try not to act like someone that you are not. If you are ready to help everybody, specially the people who are underserved, Meharry is your Place

Meharry Usually accept 54 students, and If have been invited for an interview, you have a great chance to get in, what I have headrd there is a 50% chance for you to get in, and usually when they invite you for an interview, you are almost in. Please e-mail me for any further questions that you have. If I am replying late, it is because I am very busy in the middle of the semaster and I have lots of stuff to do. After you get in, they usually hook you up with " Meharrian Brother or Meharrian sister that she/he guide you through the first year and help you.

They called me for an interview
but I don't know if they do that for everyone or not
they called me on Friday afternoone, 20 days before my interview

It took them long enough, but they contacted me by snail mail. Somebody at meharry told me that the comittee had made their decision about three weeks ago, and I just received the interview invite yesterday. They gave me dates to choose from. I think they will be interviewing untill end of march. Good luck

I received an interview email also. I called and set mine up for the 21st of March. When are you going for yours? I was starting to make plans to work on my Masters in Microbiology and reapply next year. I was totally surprised when I received the snail mail. When do classes start if we get in? Where will you be arriving from?


Hey Doctor2BE. what kinds of questions did they ask you on the board? I haven't been shadowing anyone. It is real hard. I work a 12-hour rotating shift plus I am taking college Chem (the second part). I made a "C" in both the first and the second part when I first took it. I am trying to improve my grades. Can you help us out. How is the campus? The city? Do the students help each other out?

I will be calling them up and setting up the interview on Friday the 28th february. I don't know when class will start. I'll be arriving from Minneapolis. I was thinking that the sooner, the interview the better our chances of getting in. Hopefully things will work out. Good lucK.

Let me tell you something, only couple of Cs wouldn't stop you to get into dental school, do you think all these people in deltal school didn't have cs when they got in. If you have been invited to an Interview, that means you are a strong candidate and getting couple of Cs in courses wouldn't change their dicision. Meharry is one of the schools that I think care more about personality and charactor than just simple grades, but of course grades are important too. in the interview they would ask, " why do you want to be a doctor? why did you choose Meharry,,,and what do you think about the school. Make sure you know why you want to become a dentist ok? be yourself and don't try to be someone else..I am sure you will love it,,,I had so much fun in my interview..all the interviewers were so cool. you will have two interviews one after another by 2 different Meharrian Faculties. my interview went really well. Hoping to hear from them in couple of weeks time. The school is very nice, and if you want to serve the underserved meharry is the school for you. The studends and the faculty were really nice. Meharry is the only school that I know that really care about their students. From what I heard from the students the faculty will go at any length to help the students with their questions, and you can feel the closeness between the faculty and the students. I hope I get in there, cause I will like to be a meharian for sure.
