Hello,

I am in the process of switching from CVS to Meijers as a Pharmacy Intern. It was a difficult position to get knowing I beat 3 other interns since i was let know that 4 people were applying for the same position. However i have been having some thoughts about this move and I know CVS has 8000 locations compared to 200 that Meijer's has and that got me worried to the chances of getting hired once i graduate. Anyone has any experience with Meijers in here and what are the recommendations. I am a third year students so I only have 2 years to show Meijer my worth.

Any switch away from CVS is a good one. A smaller regional chain in my opinion will treat their employees better. CVS hires anyone. Don't worry about not being able to go there at a later date. A fun game to play will be to call your classmates who went to CVS and let them tell you how miserable they are.

Go with the smaller chain. Wags and CVS are not going to survive in their current forms. Wait till interest rates go up on all that corporate debt that needs to be rolled over. You think they're squeezing blood from a turnip now, you ain't seen nuthin yet.

I used to live in an area that had Meijer's stores, and always heard good things about working for them, and not just the pharmacy.

🙂

My only worry is that I won't be offered a job once I graduate since they don't have that many stores!

200 stores is still a lot...

Your QOL will be much better. Be happy.
