Hi,

Does anyone know anything about the Memorial Sloan Kettering transitional program? Or can anyone from Cornell comment on the overall learning environment there?

Also, can anyone comment on these prelim and transitional programs?
-Brigham prelim
-Newton Wellesley transitional
-Santa Clara Valley transitional
-Mount Auburn prelim

Thanks!

I interviewed there (MSKCC). Seemed like a nice place to do a TY if all you wanted to learn about was heme-onc. It really did not seem appropriate for anesthesiology and it was clear from the interview that they were looking for oncology folks. Definitely seemed cush in every sense of the word, probably because the hospital runs better than any other in NYC has far as I could tell. That said, I think there is probably very little hands on experience there and my impression was that the TY interns, while certainly very highly qualified, were not very involved in the decision making. Just some observations from a few hours spent there. Obviously it is a first -first rate hospital.
