Ok, stupid subject line, but I had to get you in here somehow. So, friends, here I go with Gross Anatomy, just did my first lab prep and, well, holy ****. So I'm looking at this and wondering about memorization. I'd love your advice on memories tricks, tips, acronyms, eponyms, and especially, medical mnemonics. There are four mnemonics books over at Amazon, I'm wondering if anyone has a particular one they'd recomend? And any good online sites?

My blessings to you all! I've missed SDN!

don't buy a book, spend your money on one (or more) good atlases, I personally have a rohen and a clemente... you can find mneumonic stuff on the internet... just go a google search (also I think www.medicalmneumonics.com "check my spelling")...

OMG.

Check out the New Netter's CD. It's the bomb-diggity. Highly recommend it as a study aid.

i totally agree......and remember (like you haven't heard this enough) REPETITION is KEY!! the more you go over the stuff either with netter or at your cadaver, the better you learn it and retain it. 👍

I recommend getting Chung's Board Review for Anatomy. Also, tell yourself that you MUST memorize it (vein, artery, nerve, whatever) the first time around--somehow just telling myself that really worked.
