There is one particular activity in college which I am most proud of and which has affected me the most as a person. I also feel like it will be something good to talk about in interviews. I mention this in my PS, does that get repetitive? What if I were to also mention this in a Secondary?

I feel like any thing that represents your desire to become a physician and that you can show enthusiasm when discussing is a wise topic to keep bringing up. Just my opinion though.

however you don't want to look like a one trick pony...using the same experience to answer every question. schools aren't looking for you to regurgitate your PS in secondary essays.

It also depends on exactly what the EC is. You would probably get better advice that way.

If it has had a profound impact on you as a person, I would absolutely mention it again (not all interviewers have access to/have read your PS). Be careful of the potential advice you get here on this - your formative experiences are your own and others may have has a similar situation that turned out badly for them. Good luck!!

my response was incomplete...absolutely mention it during the interview! during my first interview i kept saying stuff like "as i wrote in my PS" without elaborating and sometimes my interviewer would urge me to elaborate but looking back it really hurt me. you should never assume that your interviewer has read or even remembers your application. Even if they do they want to see you talk about those experiences that you wrote about so they can see your depth of knowledge (in the case of research) or your passion.

I still stick by my previous statement about secondaries though. you should be building on your PS with new experiences and stories not just restating the same things.
