in the personal statement, is it a good idea to mention doing a fellowship? for example, i am applying to psychiatry and in my last paragraph of my personal statement, i have mentioned i am in interested in doing a fellowship in child/adolescent psychiatry. is this is a good idea? I am am FMG.

thank you

I don't think its patently wrong but in general, its probably best to focus on what you're applying for: your primary residency. Call me a cynic, but many (if not most) residents change their mind about what they wish to do during residency.
