I searched other forums but couldn't find an answer. I'll be getting married during this application cycle. Should I mention it in secondaries for the "What are your plans for the upcoming academic year?" type questions, in addition to my job, volunteering, etc? I'm not sure what the pros and cons might be, if there are any.

No.

I got married during app cycle and never felt it was necessary on my "upcoming" plans. Save that for work or school or medically-relevant events.

Also, if you're planning on changing your name, I highly recommend you do so after your cycle is over/has slown down considerably. When you change it legally, it must be changed in AMCAS and if you've already been in touch with schools or have interviewed, it makes it easier on your committee if everyone can remember who you are and not some new name. Plus, plane tickets, etc. are hard to change if you book under one name and then go get a new license.

no, it's too mundane.... so not unless you also mention that you will eat breakfast every day.
