Mercer Pharmacy Waitlist 2009

I wanted to start this thread so we could update each other!
I just got wait listed at Mercer pharmacy.
I heard everyone interviewing in April is going to be wait listed and then in May we all get the decisions.
Does anyone else know how this process works?

I was waitlisted as well 🙁 but I'm trying to stay optimistic since I've heard that quite a few people are pulled off the waitlist. I'm not sure if everyone interviewed in April is automatically waitlisted. I would think that those interviewed would be considered at the next adcom meeting and accepted, rejected, or waitlisted from there. Otherwise the whole process of interviewing students in April would be moot because your fate would already be relegated to the waitlist. What I believe will happen (and this is just an assumption since I haven't been through this process before) is that those interviewed after the last adcom meeting, which was March 6th, will be reviewed, along with apps on the waitlist, at the next adcom meeting which I was told when I called would be the first week of April.

oh wow, so they're pretty much filled up their seats.

i know they pull a good number off the waiting list once UGA sends out their notices. That should be around the start of April.

That's interesting, they told us that 1/2 the class was full when I attended my interview a few months ago... I wonder if people have withdrawn their deposits already. I figured Mercer was a lot of people's top choices, so I am surprised to see that people have not been taking the acceptance offers.

I dont think being wait listed is a bad thing at all, Mercer gets so many applicants, the fact that we have made it this far is really awsome!
Yeah I think all of us will find out in May. I think what they usually do is interview every week for the first three weeks of the month and then at
the fourth week they make a decision. So I think with April being the last interview month, they will make all Decisions in early May. This is just my opinion though I have no idea.
Also I remember at the interview Dr.Bartling said about half the class has been filled so far. Which is not that much considering they have been interviewing since October.
And Yeah I think Mercer is top choice for most students so I was surprised to read threads from students that have been accepted asking if they should go to Mercer or another school.
I just know that at Mercer you can truly become anything you could ever dream of!Their program is amazing!
It was interesting to hear Dr.Bartling say that most students that enter end up changing their career path and doing something even better than they imagined!

We only have a month and a half to wait until May so it wont be too long before we find out!

i've been waitlisted for mercer too, since february? i heard that it's better to call the school every now and then, just to let them know that you're still interested in the school. mercer is a really good school so i hope the best for everyone. ^^

I was waitlisted at Mercer too😡 But at least it not a flat out rejection--their not my first choice anyway--although they are a great school😎

i called the school and they said their waitlist is not ranked. the board reviews all the waitlisters at the end of the month along with the month's interviewees.

I just received a phone call this morning letting me know I got accepted. I was on the waitlist since mid-March, but I'll be turning down the offer for another school so there will be an open spot.. good luck!!! 🙂

You still have a chance. If you are on the waitlist then your files get review every month during the adcomm meeting. But I do know how you feel... and I got in.

I'm not on the wait list- I haven't even had an interview yet. I was just wondering if I did get an interview if anyone thought I might get in, or get wait listed.
