Hey, wondering if I could get some help from yall.

I am applying at several places and I seem to know their admissions process fairly well, but I am curious about Mercer's.

I interviewed at Mercer on Nov. 16th (the first week they had interviews) and I was told that they would not review applicants for admissions until January.

But, my questions to anyone that understands their admissions process is this: When should I get worried? When should I be looking for them to fill up their class?

Also, anything anyone wants to add to this, please do. I liked Mercer lots, and I am very interested in their program.

Thanks

Mercer's class is not yet full. I spoke with the admissions secretary and she said that they were hoping to have sent out all the acceptances by March 20th and they will make the alternate list by April 15th. Hope this helps!

I was at mercer today, and I was told that there are about 16 spots still left in the class of 56. We were also told that over the past 3 weeks they have only accepted 4 people. I don't know if that is all completely true, but be assured that there are open spots left. You should definately know by March 20...

I must say, I liked Mercer a lot. The students and faculty were very frank, which I always appreciate. I also liked that we weren't rushed during our time speaking with students. Great interview experience overall!

hope that helps,

arktec.

Don't forget that all med schools admit more students than there are available slots, because some folks hold multiple acceptances and decide to go elsewhere. So if there are still 16 slots to be filled, it well could be that MUSM will offer 20+ acceptances. Good luck.

Thanks for the input. I hope I hear something soon, and I hope to see some of yall in class this coming year.
