Does anyone know which schools offer merit scholarships? Also, what stat's are required to be considered a competitive applicant for such a scholarship? For example, at my UPenn Interview, they said that to be competitive for the dean's scholarship (1/2 tuition), you need to have a GPA near 3.75, and then other aspects of your application are reviewed (DAT, dentistry experience, extracurriculars, etc.). Thanks for any replies.

UCLA does (Dean's scholarship for $10k one-time)
Stats are about the same ^

Is that the only scholarship offered at UCLA?
According to ADEA guide, about 85~95% of enrollees got some kind of scholarships (6K~20K).
Thanks.

NYUCD gives out merit scholarships for various amounts.

I also know Penn and UOP do as well. Others too, I'm sure.

It would be great if any current dental students that are recipients of a merit scholarship can leave a comment 🙂

Since Penn is such a competitive school, I would assume a majority of their applicants have a 3.75 gpa and great extras.

what's the range of scholarship amount NYUCD gives out????

Add columbia, although it may be a mixture of merit/need. Just fyi.

BU also gives out merit scholarships for varying amounts to the top 10% of their incoming class (based on GPA and DAT I heard).
