I can't remember exactly where this question is from (kaplan or topscore probably) but I think it asked which of the following do prokaryotes have and gave the usual answers of a cell wall, ribosomes..etc. but also included mesosomes. I just wiki-ed them and they are apparently formed in prokaryotes during electron microscopy but are not considered part of the actual prokaryotes' organelles. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mesosomes). Has anyone seen any questions that included mesosomes/should I consider mesosomes as an organelle in prokaryotes?

Dude its question number 1 in destroyer bio section- they are invaginations in the plasma membrane

Prokaryotes do have Mesosomes. I believe that is the first question of bio section of DAT Destroyer.

sot they are found only in prokaryotes?? invaginations in bacteria right?

You can not call it an Organelle, because organelles are membrane bound, and only Eukaryotes have membrane bound organelles, not Prokaryotes....
plz correct me if i am wrong..

ok so the question just asked which (of the following) are found in prokaryotes and yes ribosomes and mesosomes r found in it. Thats that.
