So I've been on taus method for a while now (took a 1.5 month hiatus which is why I'm still lurking this message board) but have realized that I may be doing it all wrong. When I read a system from FA, such as cardiovascular for example, I only read the physiology, anatomy, and pharm from FA. I skip the path in FA and do that directly from RR. Is this what everyone else does? Or am I a lazy bastard who should be reading the entire FA chapters including path??

Thanks in advance for the help.

Everything should be covered in FA. The reason it is important is because FA covers super-HY info that you'll be sure to see on the exam... and the repetition (and connections you make EVERY time you look over it again), is a huge part of studying.

Yeah, I wouldn't skip over FA. There is a reason it is in there. Yes you will get more out of Goljan in other "less" diseases, but the nuts and bolts are in FA. In my opinion, if you look over the stuff in FA and it is understood, then expand in Goljan, but if you are looking at FA and thinking "well, its in Goljan so I will understand it later" then this is a risky method. You need to know the "main" diseases solid before exploring in minor diseases, as there is a much higher likelyhood of encountering the "major" diseases on the test. FA touches on the major ones, Goljan explains why the major diseases are major. Point being, know FA cold on the path, and use Goljan to help you UNDERSTAND why they are so important. In essence, use Goljan as an adjunct to whats in the FA path section. (Sorry if that seemed long winded).
