I'm trying to break down these two programs. I haven't seen anyone comparing them (maybe cause they are a 5 hour flight away haha).

MGH Primary Care
MGH Categorical

U Washington Primary Care
U Washington Categorical

Does U Wash have a similar level of respect nationally? Anything gained by going to U Wash (like 3 hospital system, rural rotations)? Residents, balance of intensity and happy great residents...

I am really interested in y'alls opinions on how to break these down. Thanks!!

UW is a great program but in terms of "level of respect nationally" the comparison is not even close.

I'm guessing that you're trying to justify to yourself ranking UW over MGH. UW is generally considered a "top tier" program--in the same league as Duke, Penn, Columbia, Stanford, etc--but not a top of the top tier program (usually BWH, MGH, UCSF, Hopkins). In terms of national rep, UW is probably towards the bottom of its tier, I'd guess because of it's strong primary care focus (as compared to its peers). But if you won't be happy at MGH, it's probably not the right place for you, whatever its reputation.
