Is there only one program associated with the Miami Miller SOM? Or are there two? Is JFK Atlantis (the Palm Beach one) a community program or considered a university program? Also general info on the Miami program would be great!

Jackson Memorial is the University of Miami program. Jackson Memorial is the county hospital that is on the U of M campus. JFK (Atlantis) is the community program that is about 45 minutes away from U of Miami.

yeah frieda totally lies...it told me that the atlantis one was the university-affiliated program. sigh. what a fail.

@ Palm Beach - JFK (Atlantis) is the U of Miami-affiliated program. The affiliation is strong, and there is a good cross talk between both campuses in terms of attendings/research/didactics .

FYI the JFK Atlantis is a fairly new program that is mostly filled by FMGs

of the ones that come down to Jackson for rotations I think a bit over 1/2 have been IMG's
