Anyone receive any feedback from Miami? Do most people really feel like it is not so great a place?

I mean, I interviewed there, and the day was done poorly... no tour, no lunch or dinner meeting the residents, no overview session, etc.... you would think they would want to put their best foot forward! I also heard that facilities are crap, ER is freaking crazy as far as neuro consults, that's why they need 8 people per year.

But the program still remains interesting.... Their chairman, Bradley, is world reknowned in NM, but I heard he might be leaving (his chairmanship, but staying on faculty). Other faculty seemed nice.

What do other people think?

hi.
I interviewed there last year, things have totally changed (we had a nice dinner and a tour etc). There is a PACS system and computer records. They are up to 10 residents (?) a year and have a new Chair, Dr. Sacco. It was a favorite on the trail last year...

NEURO08,

You may not have realized that you answered a post from january 2005! Nevertheless, your feedback is right on track.

Last year, the Miami Neuro and Neurosurgery programs were ranked among the best in the country by US News as well.
