According to a current Dental student at Michigan, we should not expect to receive letters right on the 1st of december. Michigan takes their time in sending out the letters. So we probably will hear back from them in a week or so. Dont worry too much about it.

I also walked in today and met with an endodontist that had interviewed me during my MMIs. Unfortunately, since there was an interview going on today, I was unable to find out results. But I did leave my info with the Dr. and I hope to hear something next week!!

yahooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! just got accepted to michigan. letter was post marked dec 1st. the mail is really slow in the cold.

Nothing from Michigan. Interviewed there on the first batch. I thought my Interview went really well except for the part when my Interviewer told me that my pre-req is not from a competitive school. tell me why it is. i tried to explain but it seemed like he didn't like it from the expression. I am not a big fan of Michigan but I do want to save money by going there becasue it is my state school. However, at this point in the game I am happy where I am becasue I didn't even expect to get accepted to one school on Dec 1. I was ready for Masters program If I didn;t get accepted becasue my advisor told me that I have no chance. She told me not to apply this year but I did anyway. I am gald I applied this year. Good luck to you all.

I interviewed end of October (28th) and received my letter of acceptance last weekend in the mail. Those of you that interviewed either earlier or in november, hang in there, u'll get something. I am most likely going to withdraw my application from Univ. of MI so it will definitely help one of you.

Hey Mustt, when did you apply and what's your stats, if you don't mind me asking.....conrats on your acceptances already , I"m so jealous 🙂

Nothing too special about my stats GPA 3.15ish over all, 3.35ish Science (but last 50 credits 3.8 at Michigan, one bad semester with 3 D's and one bad summebr with 2 D's). DAT 21/21/19. I have great EC's and great LORS. I am not a Minority. I received an invite for the first batch so they did like me. However they seem to have problem with the place where I took my pre-req on. They sent me letter about it before interview and asked me the same thing on my interview. Other than that I think I have very all around application. As I see it now I don;t think I ahve much of a chance but who knows, I might get lucky.

Because so far, I have three acceptances. NJ (my in-state school), Columbia, and Michigan. Tuition-wise, Columbia=Michigan, so if it came down to it, i'd choose columbia over Michigan. I am now left with a decision on whether to go to NJ or Columbia, so Michigan is pretty much out of the picture (unless they give me a scholarship which is unlikely, as Fin aid ppl at Michigan are greedy, c0ck-5ucking wh0re-children ) Sorry, I have just had horrendous experiences with Financial Aid as an undergrad.

Thanks. Congrats to you too bro. After a while, when the joy of getting acceptance letters fades off, you realize that you eventually have to end up at only one of those places. Then, multiple acceptances are merely obstacles in your decision-making lol. Obstacles that I am thanking bhagvaan for no doubt.

would anybody mind telling me if their acceptance letters from Michigan stated that it was a conditionally accepted based on finishing pre-req's? (cause mine said this and i have already graduated and have completed all the pre-req's ) I was confused. Been trying to call the school, but getting no answer cause patti is out of the office.

Hey, I am REALLY interested in U-Mich. I interviewed on 11/4 and I haven't heard anything. I think at this point if I were in this round I would know, so the question is now "Is no news good news?" Meaning does that mean I still have a shot, or are they just gonna interiew more people for the later batches of letters that I will have to compete with?


Does anyone know if they send out rejection letters as they go along? or do they just keep stringing it out?

I interviewed at Mich on 11/4 as well. I haven't heard anything and called the Admissions office this morning asking about my application status. Before the lady looked up my file she said "I may or may not be able to tell you". After giving her my name and what-not she looked up my file and said, "I can't tell you your status. Leave a msg for Ms. Katcher". I'm thinking it's a future rejection. Yikes. Anyone have the same response and got the boot from Michigan?
