Hii! I just got an interview for on jan 19th and i was wondering if you guys had any advice for the interview? was it hard? what kinds of questions were asked? anything will help!! thankss

You should bring a pillow or something soft to sit on (also bring a snack) as you will be hearing presentations for 3 hours non stop. Be aware you will have to write an essay on an ethical issue. Think carefully during the MMI before speaking; as some of the situations are tricky.

Just be yourself dude!!!!!!!!!!! Life sucks wear a Helmet.............................

Definitely be yourself. For a few questions, they were a little tricky, if it's not clear to you, then definitely ask for a clarification! And the lunch is terrific!🙂 Yummm!🙂

And yes, you'll have to write an essay about an issue, and when you do write it, think about it from all angles, and make a decision!🙂

hope that helps!🙂

when i interviewed here last year...i loved it...it was the most chill interview id been on...overall its pretty chill...the selling of the school part is kinda boring like all the other schools...but talking to the dental students was pretty cool...the lunch wasnt bad...and MMI is interesting

what's MMI? An do they chose the ethics topic for you or you choose yourself?

hehe...i don't even have an interview from them yet but still curious..

A MMI stands for Mini Multiple Interviews. What you do is you're set in a station of five interviewers and you have ten minutes with four of the interviewers and twenty with one of the Deans of the school. It's all regulated so once the bell rings, you're finished and you move on to the next person!

One of my ten minute interviews actually never really happened b/c it was with Patty and she was too busy getting stuff figured out that she never got a chance to interview me! Oh well, no complaining!

okay so im a little confused, ive read that they ask you several ethical questions...is that during the individual MMI or is that during a group session? and in the MMI are you just asked normal questions like why dentistry and all that?? also how much is the essay worth? Thanks soo much for those replying...this is soo helpful!

MMI's sound like speed dating

The ethical questions come during the essay and MMIs. The MMI questions are all basically about ethics, until you have the 20 minute interview - where it's basically about your application/personality. They don't tell you how much the essay is worth.

were the ethical questions hard? any advice as to how to practice for them... ive interviewed at a couple of other schools and there were no ethical questions involved 🙁 . thanks soo much for everyones help...i am just super nervous for this interview since it is soo late in the process!

The ethical questions are not hard. Just remember that you are going to be a health professional and that your patients well being is of the upmost priority. You should be concerned with fair and equal care for all patients regardless of the financial costs involved. Answer the questions in the way you would want your dentist to treat you or the insurance system to treat you.

okay one last question...for those that interviewd there..what was your essay question??? thankks again!!

It's most certainly going to be different but my question was something like you work somewhere and parking is horrendous but across the street there's a place to park your car but it says no parking. You however know that there are never any meter maids that come around and there's no possible way you could be fined so do you park your car there or not.
