From SDN's interview feedbacks, Michigan interviews seems more like horror stories. Is this true? Michigan '07 interviewees, use this thread to post feedback, suggestions, comments, etc. on your interview experience.

it's not a horror story, it's just a waste of time. the interviews are done in a big group over lunch. a prof grabs you while you're nervously eating your sandwich. and if you get a prof who obviously doesn't care your interview will be:

-why mighigan?
-do you have any questions?

I am not kidding. This was back in 2005 for me, but my interviewer was a jerk. I looked at other students and they were being interviewed by profs who actually cares. So it's a matter of luck in your case.

All in all, biggest waste of my time. so much for my big dentistry interview 😕

^^ Pretty much, all depends on who you get. They sit you through about 3 hours of why you should go to the school (I think it's a test to see if you can stay awake) you have lunch then a professor finds you and talks to you. You take a tour, then do the MMI (Multiple Monitored Interview I think) where you have 5 stations in which a scenario or news story is printed out, and you have to discuss it with a faculty/dentist/student/professor. You then have one final speech, then they send you on your way. It's an all day event
