Hello all, I'm planning on applying to Nova for the 2016 class, and I had a couple of questions about admission requirements. Nova lists Microbiology as a requirement, does anybody know if they allow Medical Microbiology as a substitute? At my school microbiology is a 2000 level course, and Medical is a 3700 level course so I assume it's ok but was wondering if anybody else had experiencing substituting. Secondly, Nova lists one semester of Organic and one semester of Biochem. At my school, you need to take 1 full year of organic to get into Biochem, and since I'm trying to graduate in the Winter, I don't want to delay that by 4-5 months just for one extra organic section. So, does anybody have experience with whether Brief Biochem is ok as a substitute? I contacted Nova about this a while ago and received no response, so I'm hoping somebody here has some experience. Thanks!

You received no response about this? I would say to try again, but I don't like schools that don't address your questions/concerns. That's a bad start.

Nova is actually reallly good with responding back...your email probably went in SPAM? or call them. They're good on the communication end...

What do you mean "brief biochem"? Some schools have a General Organic 1/2 course (a course that covers org 1 and 2 in 1 semester), which allows you to jump to Biochem after 1 semester of Org....If your school requires 2 semesters of Org to get to Biochem, there's no way around that.
