I know some schools require microbiology and there are 2 microbiology classes that I can choose.

The first one is General Microbiology and another one is Biology of Microorganisms. The first one has a lower course number.

So, does it matter to take either one?

Probably doesn't matter but I'd take the general microbiology course.

Make sure it has a lab component!

General microbiology 101 with the lab (102) - 5 credits
Biology of Microorganism 303 with the lab (304) - 5 credits

So, both have labs.

Thanks guys!

If they just require a semester of lecture/lab of "Microbiology" then you should probably just go with the lower course number. Course numbers are irrelevant to dental schools. They just want to see that you've had exposure to the topic. IMO the only thing you'll get from taking the 301 course is the satisfaction of taking a harder course.

I think Microbiology is the most important pre-requisite. I don't mind taking it even though its not listed.
