Quick question- I've noticed quite a few dental schools that list microbiology as a recommended prerequisite. I'm not sure what it involves, and there isn't an actual class by that name at my university, but would "Molecular Biology" or "Prokaryotic Biology" fit?

I would think prokaryotic biology would be synonymous with microbiology.

That's what I was leaning towards...thanks!

call your schools and ask. i think michigan requires microbiology so they might be a good place to call up. my class was called "biology of microorganisms"
i don't think molecular biology is what you want...that's more genetically oriented...DNA, proteins, etc.
but prokaryotic bio sounds like the one you'd want.
