I have recently been granted an interview at Midwestern for their pharmacy program, and it seems like many people on these boards have had interviews and been accepted there.

So I was just wondering if anyone could shed any light about the interview process, maybe what to expect, anything I could do to help prepare, and I guess anything that would be good to know/keep in mind about the interview.

Thank you all for any advice.

Make sure you check out the interview feedback on this website, it was pretty accurate and helpful. You'll get a folder and name tag, and sit in a classroom with about 40 people. They will talk at you for a while, you'll do a writing sample, and you'll do a group interview. It's very structured but everyone is really nice and laid back- don't feel nervous!

To prepare? Know yourself and your reasons for applying, and make sure to speak clearly and confidently. Have fun with it! Smile, shake people's hands, have energy.

Just don't be arrogant. No one likes that.

Definitely look over the interview feedbacks (I, along with others, have posted the questions they ask there)...Also, be mindful that it's going to be a group interview. Basically, they ask a question and everyone takes turns answering it. Be respectful of others but at the same time, try to be one of the first 3 that answers the question. That way, they will see that you are prepared, eager to participate and most importantly, your answer won't be used by someone else!

Hope this helps!
Good-luck 🙂

As the above posters said, definitely look at the interview feedback. Also, because it's a group interview, make sure you think of unique answers that are specific to you. Cliché answers aren't going to cut it since the likelihood of someone in your group saying something along those lines are likely. However, it IS okay to feed off someone else, but make sure you tie it into something that applies to you personally. You don't want to be that person that says "What they said..." and that's it. Assert yourself but don't be arrogant. Come with questions about the school to show you're interested. Good luck!

relax, be prepared, use your resources!!! (like everyone said, interview feedback)

Be yourself and be confident. Everyone there is really nice.

Don't get nervous because the interview is really laid back. During the interview try your best just to speak from your heart and be yourself because it was really obvious when people were trying to over-do their answers. To me, it sounded arrogant and over confident. Then again, I am not the interviewer 🙂 Make sure to talk about things that weren't mentioned on your application, and if they were, talk about your experiences/what you learned/etc.

Good luck!:luck:
