Last year was the first year of midwestern - arizona school of dentistry. Please tell me how well did you do on the NBDE part 1.

Thank you so much.

I think oracle rocked a mid ninety five.

Dean Simonsen said 94% passed first try, and 3 of those who did not pass got a 74% (need 75% for passing!).

Do you know by chance what is the highest score in your class?

don't worry about the school's NBDE average. if you want to do well, just go somewhere where they give you enough time off to study for boards. i went to a school that did/does horribly on boards, only gave us 1 week off to study. still scored a 95, but studied my butt off, and pretty much neglected all my classes for 2 months leading up to boards.

We (Midwestern) get the entire summer between D1 and D2 for our boards (so end of May to end of Aug)

had an interview there, lets just say i am not impressed with the school. I remember they showed us the clinic and they point to the crash building :scared:

I had interview with Dr. Polk, whom is totally unresponsive to any of my answer!

I think i am too good for them thats why

Agree. In my opinion, most of the variation in NBDE scores is already pre-determined by your GPA, DAT, work-ethic, motivation, etc... If a school can do anything to help people get a better score, it's probably related to the amount of time off you have available to study.

What does this have to do with anything in this thread?

With that attitude, you probably would not fit in well here...

as a predent newbie, i'm wondering what happens if you don't pass the Boards? are you held back from the next year of dental school? and how often do they have the Boards exam?
