Hi,

I was wondering if anyone heard back from Midwestern in Downers Grove, IL ? I applied through PTCAS in middle of October, got an email back saying that they received it but since then nothing. I called them couple of times and they keep saying application still under review, admission committee didn't make a decision yet.

Thanks

I haven't heard anything either. Every time I email I get a vague "Still under review" reply. I applied during the end of Sept. :/

I haven't heard back either...sent my stuff in in mid-October and haven't heard anything besides them saying thu received all my stuff months ago. When I went to my interview at Midwestern in Arizona in december, I met a girl who had already interviewed w the one in Illinois so idk what's going on...

Thanks guys, well its good to know I'm not alone. I guess its not only PT students , I have a friends that applied to OT and Med School and they didn't hear anything as well.

Hey guys, I received an email in late December inviting me to interview at Midwestern on January 26th..I think that may have been their first day of interviews

Thanks travelbug, did you attend the interview ? Anything you could share with us ?

I declined the interview last minute as I found out I was accepted to two of my top choices.. I did drive by the school as it is close to home and it looks nice... I was just concerned about their pass rate and graduation rate compared to other schools I was considering

Same here guys...haven't heard anything from them!

Hey guys, this may be bad news for you (sorry!) but I applied through PTCAS sometime in September, and Midwestern was the first school I heard from... I e-submitted PTCAS on September 14th, I got an email from Midwestern on October 5th, my interview was on November 10th and got the acceptance from them shortly after. They have rolling admissions, and it's my impression that they have interviews every couple of weeks. I know they interview about 200 people and there were only 15 or so people on my day, so there definitely isn't just one day for this. I would call the school and try to clarify what's going on.

Really ? Wow .. well I called them many times, and the person from admissions office told me that they had only 3 groups that went through interview process. Plus she said that they started interviewing in the middle of January :/ 😕 Are you talking about Downers Grove campus in Illinois or AZ campus ?

Wow that's really bizarre. Yup, I'm talking about Midwestern Downers Grove IL campus. I was definitely there on Nov 10, 2010 and I'm pretty sure I wasn't the first group there, either. That's weird that someone from Midwestern told you otherwise. All I could suggest would be try calling different departments (admissions office of the entire university, the physical therapy program, etc) until someone gives you a straight answer! Good luck!

Once again, this could be a let down.

I interviewed at the very first interview date which was October 13th, and received an acceptance call about two weeks later.

Rumor has is that last year they received more applications than any other school participating in PTCAS. Keep your fingers crossed. My friend is a third year there and her interview was not until March.

I also applied to Midwestern University downers grove IL. My experience was I submitted my PTCAS in early september got an interview invitation from MW early October. The interview invitation gave me access to the online registration for interviews. When i got online there were at least 4 dates for interviews I chose one of the later ones since MW was not one of my first choices. About a month later my interview was coming up and I was not sure if i wanted to attend so I changed dates to about 6 weeks later and once again there was at least 4 new interview dates open. It appeared to me they do rolling admissions with interviews about once a week beginning in October. I am not trying to be rude but honestly it appeared to me that they have already completed the majority of their interviews. I think it is rude of them to not say anything to you but if I were you I would call them because I think there is a chance their class may be full by now.
