I have contacted Midwestern Dental College concerning this but was wondering if anyone on here had some insight.

They require 4hrs of anatomy and 4hrs of physiology.

My university does not have separate anatomy and physiology courses.
They have Anatomy & Physiology I and Anatomy & Physiology II.

Would I need to take both A&P I and II at my university to satisfy the pre-requisites or only the first since it covers anatomy and physiology?

thats exactly how my school is (arizona state). i'm pretty sure you'll need to take both semesters of A and P.

Well, what did they say?

The anatomy @ MWU also requires lab. Does your A&P course have a lab involved with it as well?

I am still waiting for an answer, that's why I posted here.

Yes, the A&P course at my school has a lab with it.

from what i understand, yes you would. also, the more A&P you can get before dschool the better. it wil really help you out in your 1st year.

Here is my situation
1. I took human physiology that is 3 credit course
2. MWU wants 4 credits of physiology
3. i told them that my school only has it for 3 credit.
4. they waived it meaning i don't have to take it again just to fulfill missing 1 credit.
5. But they still want me to take Anatomy 4 credit
6. I haven't taken it but I will be taking it this summer from CC.

Yes you will need to take both A&P classes. Also has anyone started interviewing at MWU? How is the interview process?

it says on their pre-reqs page:

*The Anatomy and Physiology requirements may also be fulfilled by taking Anatomy and Physiology I and Anatomy and Physiology II, as some universities offer combined courses.

If you have been accepted pending prerequisite completion, and you know you are going to be short just a credit or two, or won't be able to get one lab done, or never took English in college (like me!), write out your plan for how you will complete what you can, and email student services. I ended up getting a few credits waived.

Look into the distance learning program at West Virginia University, they have a good anatomy course with a "lab" online. Berkeley has biochem and physiology.

I got into Mid - IL and I'm looking at the accepted student checklist. Looks like they waived my 1 hr of Microbiology as well as my 1 hr of physiology needed. I didn't even ask them to...so I'm going to call them and find out what the deal is.
