Might have to take two extra classes during gap year to graduate. Bad?

Because of an administrative mix-up with regards to graduation requirements, I might wind up needing to begin a three-semester course of general education classes in the spring of my fourth year in order to graduate. I am a non-trad and was initially told that my (very old) high school coursework would fulfill this requirement, but this may not actually be the reality.

In any case, I am planning to apply this coming cycle (June 2018) and was also planning on graduating at the same time. If I wind up needing these classes, I would need a spring-summer-fall set of single courses, meaning that I would graduate in Fall 2018 - during my gap year.

Is this something that adcoms might ask about or that would reflect poorly on me? My school has extremely unhelpful administration and muddled communication, and I'm frankly very eager to get out of there, so this is also just moderately distressing regardless.

(There's a chance I may be in the clear, however - won't know until next week)

It is a pre-med delusion that Adcoms want you to finish UG in four years. Please spread the word.

Thank you guys, this is great to hear. I'm still going to try to fight it based on the fact that my decision not to take these classes was informed by faulty info, but it's good to know that if worse comes to worst, it's not going to make me look a total idiot.
