Hey everyone, a lot of the DAT breakdowns I've read on SDN helped me find the best DAT resources. So I feel obliged to return the favor and answer any questions you might have. I still feel drained from the test, so I'll keep it short and simple.
Resources:
DAT QVAULT (all sections)---> the holy grail for sciences and QR
DAT BOOTCAMP (Excellent resource as well especially for the PAT section)
Chad's videos for OC and CHEM ---> He really is the man as everyone keeps saying.
DAT detroyer (Good resource. I didn't use it that much, since a good amount of people on this site said that it was overkill. I'm glad I listened since the DAT was much much simpler. Its a good study tool to begin with, but I wouldn't focus on it when test day is close).
Now I should say that DATQVAULT gets a really bad rep for chem and ochem. Personally, I found my test version very similar to the type of questions asked on qvault for the chemistries. A good feature on qvault was saving questions and revisiting them later, which allowed me to strengthen the things I'm weak at. Qvault BIO and QR were really good as well. Their bio section was much more random than the actual. I still advise you to go through them. My bio version had a lot of application questions, but qvault prepared me well in tackling these types of questions. Qvault also has an "unseen questions" feature that gave several hundred questions more that weren't included in the test.
My scores:
PAT 20
QR 18
RC 17
Biology 20
Gen chem 21
Organic chem 23
TS 21
AA 20
As you can see, reading is not my strong suit since english is my second language. And the QR is the score I'm most happy with (I thought I was gonna get a 14). I took the 18 and fled. Overall, I'm happy and satisfied with my scores. Now that I'm done, I don't think I've ever felt so much relief in my whole life. Seriously preparing for this exam forced me to isolate myself from everyone for 6 weeks. I became so anti-social but it was all worth it in the end.
