Minimum Requirements -US Clinical Experience

As a US-IMG, I was wondering how much US Clinical experience do PD's look for....? Of course, I will be doing some electives in Gas, but above and beyond that do PD's look for "hands on" clinical experience or observerships enough?

Hello,

Some programs require you to have at least 6 mo. in the states. Some only look at your board score regardless of how little time you spent in the states. I would try and do @ least 6 mo. If you could do all of your 3rd and 4th years on the mainland, you shouldn't have a problem. 😎
