I lived in the St. Paul area for a few years (right around the St. Paul campus where the vet school is) and can vouch for the Como Park area. The residential areas around the actual Como Park are really nice. Smaller, slightly older homes, but the neighborhood has a really nice feel to it. Falcon Heights (slightly north of Como Park, but still very close to campus) is also a nice suburb to live in, with some very nice homes. My understanding is that a good number of University professors live in Falcon Heights.
Anyways, feel free to ask some general questions about the area. I'm already feeling a little homesick for St. Paul (moved to Milwaukee about 8 months ago) and would be happy to comment on it further.
