I was just wondering if there are some dental schools out there who favor minorities?? (I'm Asian-American)

asians may be a minority in the real world, but not for professional schools.

so none for you

How about if you're a black male? My first choice is University of Michigan, but are there certain dental schools that will favor being a minority more so than others?

Yea, I agree w/ above...
As far as I heard, stastically about 40% of total applicant has been some sort of Asian...
And D-schools don't consider Asian as minority...

But W/ African American, Meharry & Howard would be good choice...
They have been historically African-american schools...

Good Luck...

yah good luck being an asian american. That ethnic group is just too competitive. Most of the interviews I went to had at least 20% asian interviewee. Good luck man, work up your app so you stand a chance

LMAO. you should try calling all the dental schools and ask

only way you get minority status is if you black or spanish, asian is not the answer.

If you're banking on your race to get ahead in life then you deserve no respect.

Howard accepted about 35-40% Asian last year, so that might be something. Howard was actually pretty cool too.

A bit high. Only 10 out of 72 (~14%) were AsAm in 2008.

How about a middle-class white male?

or how about an african american billionarie?

What if I'm half native america/ half Alaskan Inuit? Would my stats be sufficient?

No, you need to be greater than 50% of one or the other. You can't add percentages across different races.
