% years agojust after I've turn 18 I got charged with "Theft under $200"...well i got caught... i regret it and learned my lesson with 1 years on supervison. I know that I have it on my criminal record and I need to wait 2 more years to have it removed. Now..I'm getting sec. applications and there is a question about. Should I write the truth or say no and wait what happens.
I already send out my sec application where I said that I wasn't convicted to any offense. Is there any way I could change that after I've send out the application.

Most likely they wont check your criminal record untill they decide to accept you....and then theyll see you lied on your app will not offer you acceptance. I dont know how youd be able to go back and change it on your app once youve submitted. Also...what is the exact wording of the questions regarding criminal history on the apps?

You should withdraw your application reapply next year and tell the truth then. Your way won get you accepted anyway.

Universities usually have lawyers working for you. Contact them for legal advice. Most of the time it's free of charge. Who knows, they might be able to help you out. Good luck.

Petty larson is no big deal be honest and don't worry about it. As long as it wasn't a sex crime, a major drug violation, or a a violent crime you have nothing to worry about. Use this opportunity to communicate how much you have grown since you were a younger punk.

Like others have said honesty is the best policy. Seriously don't worry about it, adcomms realize everyone makes mistakes. As long as you can communicate effectively what your mindset was, and what you learned from the mistake without making excuses you should be okay.

Good Luck

If that's truly the case, I wish I had broken the law a lot more when I was younger! I could've lived a fuller childhood life and and made more silly mistakes.
