Hey.

State funding went wrong, and the university I was suppose to take my last pre-req cancelled my class, leaving me with no options.
UNBELIEVABLE !

Already got in to the U i wanted.

How do i go on from here? Should I beg? should I even explain this weird situation to the admission office?

Or am I @#!# ?

Thanks

I would definitely call the admissions office. I'm guessing you are referring to physics, which is not really that big of a deal... they'll probably just want you to take it in the summer (I would think)

I was in the same shape. The re-req I needed wasn't going to end until after I am supposed to report to school. I emailed the Dean of Admissions and he said my acceptance would be voided if I couldn't get the class in time. Luckily I found it at one other school that offers it first summer session. Hope you catch a break as well. Good Luck!

Take the class over the summer in a different university.

Would it not be easier to look for alternatives to meeting the requirements for acceptance than begging for/asking and expecting an exception?

Begging can result in not taking the pre-req all together. I dont see how it could hurt.

They are pre-reqs for a reason. It'd be cheaper to travel and take the course instead of reapply.

and if it turns out that you absolutely can not complete the course in time, ask to see if you can just have your matriculation deferred a year so that you can complete the pre-reqs.

Switch that class with an upper division class. Problem solved. Move on. You don't actually have to take the classes they ask of you. Half my pre-reqs were junior or senior level classes.

👍
good idea actually. I am sure they would let you swap the class.
