Hey guys, I'm really starting to freak out here and I really need advice ASAP since I need to finalize my spring schedule soon.
I have all the pre-reqs met for dental school except for the English requirement. I've looked around and most of the dental schools state "Have so and so done before applying" which includes 2 semester's worth of English.
On my transcript, it says that have 3.00 credits of "Non transferable (university name) credits" from my SAT Writing section.
I've received my second writing requirement because I took a writing intensive SOCIOLOGY class. But that is not specified on my transcript.
I'm a junior and I plan on applying during summer. Can I even apply or will they even look at my application? Even if I say "I will take an English class my senior year to fulfill your requirement"???
I plan on taking an either an "Academic writing" course or an "Intro to asian american studies" course. BOTH are offered under the English department. HOWEVER neither one have ENGL as the prefix =/ Which one would be better to take if either? Will the dental schools know they were through the English department?
I also cannot take 2 English classes as I am already at 19 credits, most of them are higher level sciences so taking an extra English class would be GPA suicide.
