So my professor misspelled my last name (a single letter error). Before you wonder: yes, I did waive my right to see the LOR but she shared on her own will with me anyway. Is this a big deal? Should I tell her to edit the LOR and change my last name spelling in all the places she mentioned it? She already submitted it to Interfolio (but I can easily talk to Interfolio and she could resubmit if you think it's important)

I'm not sure it'd really be worth it to hold back your application being complete from a mistake like this. I don't think you will get the blame for a spelling error your recommender made and I don't think it will necessarily make the whole letter look significantly worse.

Paperwork is redirected by app/identification numbers. Chill.

Not nearly as bad as the guy who posted about his LOR writer using the wrong gender.

haha okay thanks, i'm not applying this cycle so I've plenty of time..

I understand that you and the rest of your colleagues are extremely anxious about this process, but really kids, chill.

I've seen LORs written for the entire wrong person than the applicant!
