So I was reading through my Dean's letter yesterday and my school made a mistake in it!!! They put that in my internal medicine rotation I only received high pass in reality I received honors. They went back and checked my files and I was right I did get honors! Not that it should be a big deal, but it is the principal of the matter. Made sooo mad. I had even put in my CV that I received clinical honors in IM so now this looks like a discrepancy. I talked to the school and they said they can send out a revised page of my dean's letter - but still. Grrr. They do the stupid dean's letter every single year, one would think they would have a good system so mistakes like this don't happen. Granite my mistake is really only minor but I'm sure there are bigger mistakes out there!

A lot of schools give students the option of looking over the dean's letter before it's uploaded to avoid this happening. Does yours not?

Our school doesn't even let us see our letters.....

WWWweeeellllll, let me revise that...we CAN see our letters, but it was emphatically told to us that if we did decide we wanted to see the letter, it would not be *as great* of a letter like if we didn't see it.

Go figure.... 🙄

They can just change it and re-upload it to ERAS. It will automatically re-download on the programs' end.
