Hey everybody, my app is already submitted/sent out and I just noticed a small mistake. I accidentally checked "graduate" instead of "undergraduate" for one semester when entering my coursework. The gpa verifiers gave it to me as graduate coursework. Do you think this is going to be a problem for me? That is, are dental schools going to be that nit-picky?

when you click on "GPA Calculations", do you have a separate undergraduate and graduate GPA? If so, I think you definitely need to get it fixed, otherwise there is going to be a lot of confusion on the part of adcoms. I don't know how AADSAS was able to miss this and still "verify" your transcript.

call them i made a mistake and they let me fix it, however, it was before it got sent out.

Crap. Yea, they gave me a separate graduate GPA. That is what brought the mistake to my attention. I suspect the mistake might be on their part because they also entered some pass/fail hours as graded coursework (I know this because I applied last year and it was the same transcript that was entered pass/fail correctly LAST year). I think at this point I have to let it ride and just hope the dental schools are understanding. This application process is going to be the death of us all. So many of us are stressing out over trivial matters like this! Thanks for the responses.

just call up each dental school and fix it over the phone, most of them are using paper applications still, so they'll just mark it down as undergrad with a pen.

Actually, this is kinda silly, whats the point of having AADSAS "verify" your application if they don't catch a mistake like this? I mean I understand they get 10,000+ applications, but this is something that SHOULD have been caught in the verification process

If it hasn't been mailed out, call AADSAS and I am sure they can check it. If not, call up the schools. I am sure they will understand. I would go ahead and calculate your GPA and tell them "it should be (x.xx)" so they can jot it down quickly and double check it if they are suspicious.
