Hello,

I was wondering why my GPA hasn't been verified for so long, and it just hit me: there is a mistake in the coursework listing and the official transcript probably does not match up with the coursework I put in.

I used unofficial transcript to fill my application, and it does not show any W classes. I have 1 W class, and I had forgotten to include it.

Does anybody have any experience with this and have suggestions on what to do?

Thank you for reading.

Call AADSAS and ask them what measures you should take.

This is the best solution to your situation.

Best of luck! :luck:🙂

Thanks, MrBeans.

Anyone else who has gotten through such problem?

Are W's considered bad? I have a W on my transcript because I wasn't able to pick up another major, so I withdrew from that course (without academic penalty).

A W is better than a 0.0 and 1.0 and 2.0 and 2.5 and even 3.0!

Bottom line, a W will never bring your GPA down. Get 3.8gpa and adcoms wont care if you have 10 Ws

I would appreciate if you could stick to the original question and not hijack the thread.

Can anyone who has experience with similar situation shed some light on this matter?

Thank you.

how's it "hijacking the thread?"
ppl recommended you call AADSAS, and it doesn't seem like you have yet (since they're closed now). Call them tomorrow and see what's up!

There's a person who started to ask another question that is completely irrelevant to the original question asked by me, the thread starter.

I think that's called "hijacking the thread," no?

I am not too sure about the terminology come to think of it. 🙂

Well, you did mention W's in your post, which could in fact be relevant to your decision. Hijacking would entail someone asking a question completely unrelated to your question. So you can calm down now. Don't get your panties into a knot.

I'd say it depends on the nature of the Ws. I had to withdraw from a whole semester due to circumstances, but I'd say consistently withdrawing 1 class/semester would be a major concern. I also think admissions would prefer to see a 3.5 gpa averaging 15-18 credits/semester, than a 3.8 gpa of 12 credits/semester.

This is not very sound advice. 👎

10 W's is a major concern, no matter what GPA.

A person could have a 4.0, but they could have dropped a majority of BCP class 2-3 times before following through with a class to receive an A.

Certainly not a good way to achieve a high GPA.

Not to mention 3.8 with taking all those loopholes is kinda sad..

Anyhow,

Thanks MrBeans, my problem was solved by giving a call to the AADSAS.
