Mixed messages about the strength of my application. Any advice?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I'd say you have a shot anywhere really if you present your app well with your essays. I'm also jealous of your fsae experience and wish I did that! What's your state btw, others will want to know.

You'll be golden.

Thank you so much for your response!

By the end of this semester I will have about 250 hours of clinical volunteering at the private practice, and an additional 50 with the volunteering position I signed up for at a local hospital. In terms of non clinical volunteering experience I will have around 230 hours.

I'm unsure if there is a "formal" cut off for volunteering hours, but do you think these hours would be sufficient for giving some of the east coast private schools a shot? Or do you think a gap year would be necessary to even consider applying to those schools?

Thanks for your reply @popopopop
Let's say I take the MCAT June 1st and *fingers crossed* score a 515. What would your perspective be then?

While I expect you to shoot as high as possible, I would suggest you get your MCAT score and then repost with a list of schools. Then we can help you tailor it to your application in real time.

That's definitely fair. Thanks for your response! Back to MCAT studying...
