MKSAP for Step 3?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Never used MKSAP, Heard it helps but is not needed unless you already have a MKSAP series. Things are heard people swear bye for reading sources is; Premier review, Archer, and/or Master the Boards. I also heard that the "New" Step 3 Kaplan notes are very decent but again, never used them. Hopes this helps. 😎

MKSAP has about 100+ questions per subspecialty and is intended for preparation for IM boards so I think it would take a lot of time and not be as high yield. I think MKSAP for students or Harrisons question book would be much cheaper and better for this purpose if you want an IM book for step 3.

If you are a student going into IM,however, it's a great time to buy MKSAP because the 15th edition is coming out now and there is a student discount as well as an ACP member discount (you can become a member for free as a student) that makes a difference in cost.

bump....was wondering if anyone has any thoughts about using MKSAP 16 in addition to UW for step 3? Is it worth doing those questions if i have access to MKSAP 16?
