Not using this as a mockery of this very important MLK holiday, but it reminds me that in maintaining a sense of peace in our remote world, we also ought to include deflating frequently-present tension within our own medical field...........

I Have a Dream

I have a dream... that one day our fellow non-clinical physicians will rise up and live out the true meaning of our profession's creed:

That we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all Pathologists are created equal.

I have a dream that one day our nation's residency programs will be transformed into a situation where AP-only residents and CP-only residents will be able to join hands with AP/CP residents and walk together as PATHOLOGISTS, united.

When we let Integration ring, when we let it ring from every gross room to every micro lab, from every autopsy suite to every blood bank, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's Pathologists: AP, CP, AP/CP, AP/NP, AP/heme, (+ any others I likely left out!) and even those PhD'ers will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Virchow's spiritual,
"Integrated at last! Integrated at last! thank Robbins Almighty, we are Integrated at last!"

CAVEAT: The above message is not meant to specifically support those residency programs that offer integrated AP/CP scheduling...i'm referring to integrated mentalities, not schedules. Had to add that 😉

:luck: to those submitting ROL soon.

Does this sound socialist? I'm in favor of the democratic method. Differences require people to compete and therefore come up with a better product.
