Hey guys!

So I have an interview coming up at UMichigan, which has a MMI format, and I was wondering if anyone had insight. I know they make you sign a confidentiality agreement so you can't talk about the specific questions but I was wondering if someone can give some advice on how they prepared. I know a couple of other dental schools also do MMIs so anything would be helpful really! Thanks! 🙂

I think this thread will get a lackluster response for two reasons - 1, very few dental schools do MMI, therefore very few of us have actually gone through it and 2, those of us who have and are reading this thread have signed confidentiality agreements and, frankly, are stakeholders in the process. I know you're nervous about the MMI, I was too, but it's really not all that stressful. Just read the prompts carefully, without much regard for how long it takes you, and formulate & defend your opinion. It really is as simple as that.

I am going to medical school next fall, but I did an MMI at my top choice. Google "MMI question of the day." There was a Canadian professor who did a daily blog for a year or so posting random hypothetical MMI-style situations. Idk if the dental version would be any different. I would practice answering the questions in 6 mins after thinking about a response for 2 mins. I think it really helped me prep (and I got into said top med school 🙂). PM me if you want any other general advice! Good luck!

Thanks very much, funknewbious! That was def helpful! I will look into that for sure.

Here's the website if you couldn't find it. http://mmiqd.wordpress.com/

Also, he isn't from Canada...He's an admissions officer for Case Western Reserve (I think the Dental School, actually..). Hahaha. I must have mixed it up with another blog.

Yup, this is the one I found! Yeah, he is an admissions officer for Case Dental although, I don't think Case does MMI formats. Still helpful though!
