does anyone know where I can get a MMPI test online or purchase one? Thanks

I use Psychological Assessment Resources | PAR, Inc. but not for MMPI. I refer out for these in a forensic setting. I know psychiatrists administer them and even score them, but I recall that the instructions indicate a psychologist is supposed to be doing so and don't want my testimony thrown out based upon this.

The MMPI (the original version) was developed by a psychiatrist. There are no instructions that a psychologist is supposed to be doing so, but the vast majorities of psychiatrists are not going to have the training or experience (e.g. in statistics, psychometrics, the ins and outs of the MMPI and its psychometric properties etc) to withstand scrutiny. Thus it rarely makes sense for a forensic psychiatrist to do it when they can have a psychologist administer this and any other appropriate testing.

The MMPI (the original version) was developed by a psychiatrist.

My undergrad capstone was on the development of the MMPI. Hathaway was a psychologist and McKinley was a neurologist. The test was developed from a more "psychological" perspective relative to the predominant views of psychiatry at the time. Sorry to be "that guy".
