are there mnemonics for psych? i can't seem to memorize all the darn criteria.

I only know of two:

SIG E CAPS (for depression): sleep, interests, guilt, energy, concentration, appetite, psychomotor agitation/depression, suicide

DIG FAST (for mania): distractability, interests, grandiosity, flight of ideas, activity, sleep, talkativeness
